Bookings for the tour are essential, and can be made through the Tasmanian Travel Centre, which is located on the corner of St John and Cimitiere Streets in Launceston. Their phone number is (03) 6336 3133.

If you prefer, you can book through your motel's reception.

Please note that we reserve the right to cancel or vary the tours without notice, although of course this will only happen under exceptional circumstances.

We intend to open the property from October to the end of May each year, from Thursday through to Saturday. The farm is located at 699 Relbia Road, Relbia. There will be two tours per day, one at 10:00am and one at 2:00pm. When I'm home, I will personally conduct the tours. My wife Janine will conduct the tours if I happen to be away filming or at a field day. If due to some unforseen event neither of us happens to be home, our very capable staff will ably conduct the tour. Please enquire at the time of booking.

We can cater for up to thirty people in a group. Anything more than twenty people we usually split into two groups. Each group will go in opposite directions then meet in the middle and swap guides. Groups of this size give you the best opportunity to fully enjoy the activities on offer during the tour. Typically the tours take eighty minutes. Once it's over you are welcome to spend time in the gardens, or our café. We encourage you to stay, enjoy a meal, a wine or a coffee. Just sit and relax. It's the effect the whole place will have on you.

In the immediate vicinity of the café is an English style garden with masses of roses, daffodils, bearded irises, perennials and conifers and views of the surrounding property. There is plenty for people who love their gardens to see. Make sure you bring that camera!

Other Events

We will of course take special group bookings outside of the normal opening times. We also encourage school groups to visit the property so that we can show children all the joys to be had from animal companionship. In the not too distant future, we intend to make the farm and café available for mini conventions and for weddings.

Groups of up to fifty will be able to be catered to for weddings, small conventions and other events. The café will have a full range of menus available, from finger food through to a full three course meal.
